University of Zakho Establishes High-Level Committee to Oversee Online Learning Process

On April 7, 2026, University of Zakho announced the formation of a high-level specialized committee to organize and monitor the online learning process across the University.

The committee was established during a meeting attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Jassim M. Abdo, and Vice President for Students Affairs, Dr. Ramadhan J. Mstafa, along with the directors of the ICT Center and the Quality Assurance of the Bologna System.

This step comes in response to the evolving regional circumstances that have necessitated a transition in university education toward an online format.

The committee’s primary responsibilities include:

  • Close Monitoring: Tracking and evaluating the delivery of lectures through scientific and technical standards.
  • Identifying Challenges: Detecting and assessing issues faced by both academic staff and students.
  • Providing Requirements: Ensuring the availability of a suitable digital learning environment and addressing technical challenges.

The principal objective behind the establishment of this committee is to ensure the effective implementation of the learning process with the highest quality standards and the lowest possible level of disruption.
